Chauncey’s Family Dining

By admin • Feb 25th, 2007 • Category: Restaurants

After a long week we decided to give Chauncey’s Family Dining a shot. It has come highly recommended by some friends with excellent taste, but they typically pick up breakfast.

The atmosphere was a comfortable home style setting with a separate section for a classic counter and then a nice dining area with a fireplace pumping out heat.

The home made vegetable soup was excellent for starters, and we both scarfed up the bread as if we hadn’t eaten all day. The menu is a collection of typical restaurant entrees for America. Meat and potato meals that leave a few pasta options for vegetarians.

I ordered a grilled trout, while Julie had ravioli. Both were prepared and presented very well, and we plan to return at some point in the near future. The dining room had a good amount of locals eating out as well–always a good sign.

The prices were a bit on the high end of what we typically like to pay, but very reasonable for the area. I think my meal costs $13, but it includes bread and soup/salad.

If you’re driving up to Manchester or starting a trip home it’s conveniently located on Route 7A in Arlington.
