Bob’s Diner in Manchester
By admin • Apr 9th, 2007 • Category: RestaurantsBob’s Diner has been a refuge of sorts for me after moving from the diner-rich region of Philadelphia. Breakfast is served for every meal, the prices are on target, and every meal I’ve ever had there meets what I consider the average standards for diner fare. An added bonus for the hearty eater is the selection of skillet entrees.
My wife and I find Bob’s Diner a perfect date when we just want a good slice of pie or a simple breakfast plate. The service is generally good and the juke boxes add a nice touch to the atmosphere provided that a teenie-bopper doesn’t pollute the place with trashy pop at the next booth over.
Bob’s has the atmosphere and menu that any diner should have. On the down side it is located on the edge of Manchester on route 11/30 on the way out of town. Nevertheless, this makes it more convenient for the ski slope folk. In addition, it’s not a 24-hour diner, so be sure to call before planning a trip there. I can say for sure that it’s not open for dinner on Tuesdays.
Nevertheless, in a diner-starved land, Bob’s is a breath of fresh air and a real necessity for locals and tourists alike.
