The History of Arlington

Though Arlington is a small town, it has been the home and stomping grounds of many historical figures, including Ethan and Ira Allen, Norman Rockwell, Dorothy Canfield Fisher, and Grandma Moses.

This is Vermont provides an excellent historical survey of Arlington, no doubt providing some great reasons to drop by for a visit.

Norman Rockwell’s house on the green can be found by taking route 313 West and turning left onto the third bridge, the famous Arlington covered bridge that is. His home is now an inn at the T intersection along River Road.
