I am always on the look out for a nice country restaurant and am happy to say that I’ve found Sherrie’s Cafe in Manchester, VT to be an excellent place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Serving the usual breakfast and lunch fare found in restaurants, Sherrie’s offers reasonable prices, a fantastically cozy atmosphere, and great service.

Located on Route 11/30 near Miles hardware, Sherrie’s is close to town, but in the event of inclement weather, I recommend driving to it. Provided they aren’t too busy, they are very open to people hanging around to chat after their meal or, in my case, to use a lap top.

My own choice for breakfast was french toast and home fries, which rank up there with standard restaurant and diner meals. I enjoyed a relatively quiet dining room and jazz music piped into the dining area. From what I can tell Sherrie’s is an excellent place for locals and visitors alike to grab a nice meal out.
