A Sweet Swimming Hole
By admin • Jul 20th, 2007 • Category: Off the Beaten PathOn a hot summer day there is nothing better than a dip in cold water. For the adventurous types, Vermont provides ice cold swimming holes at the bottom of mountain streams.
Sunderland has a fantastic series of swimming holes to the East of Arlington. From route 7a turn right onto East Arlington road at the Norman Rockwell gallery. Turn right at the Chip and Hook store onto Kansas road and follow it over a bridge. Immediately after crossing, turn right onto Kelly Stand Road.
There are several parking spots on the right. Pull over and jump in before you think about how cold the water will be. A series of three deep pools provides the perfect place to hang out in the summer.
