South West Vermont

On the recommendation of several locals we stopped by Home Sweet Home, a new restaurant in Dorset that offers breakfast and lunch. It’s located on route 30 near the middle of town.

I had a very tastey chicken salad that was reasonably priced, while my wife and brother-in-law enjoyed their sanwiches. Though a bit steep in price for a simple sandwich, they both thought the sandwiches were great.

The atmosphere was very quaint, with tables for two, a small porch, outside seating, and some couches inside as well. There is a long stretch of wonderful baked goods, and the menu offers a creative collection of entrees. Another plus is wifi in the cafe.

The only down side of our meal was the sour lemonade that I just couldn’t drink. Other than that, we thought Home Sweet Home is a great lunch spot and plan on going again in the near future.
